This SBCL release appears to fix a problem with building on PowerPC from SBCL-1.0.55.

Mass update of Octave Forge packages

April 21, 2012

I just discovered that Octave Forge packages with compiled files link gcc4N for Octave <= 3.4.3. To make sure that the dependencies of those packages stay consistent, there was a mass update.

financial-0.4.0 and time-2.0.0

April 21, 2012

For all Octave versions.

time-2.0.0 is a dummy upgrade package (from upstream) to force an upgrade to the new financial-0.4.0, which now subsumes its functionality.

I’ve followed suit in the Fink package descriptions.

odepkg-0.8.2 update

April 20, 2012

New upstream release, for Octave >= 3.2.4.

Fixing allowable Octave versions for the quaternion package

April 20, 2012

I had accidentally marked quaternion-2.0.0 as not being for Octave > 3.6.  In fact, it was not for Octave < 3.6.

Spreadsheet converters in io-oct currently not working

April 20, 2012

Sorry about that.

I didn’t realize that these really need the octave forge java package, which I pulled for Octave 3.2.4 and later due to issues with some of its functionality.  I’m going to investigate whether the Excel and Calc converters in io will work if java and an appropriate converter are installed.

Refactoring of wxMaxima package

April 16, 2012

To try to reduce confusion, there are now four different wxmaxima variants in Fink:

  1. wxmaxima-mac, which uses the Aqua display and carries a dependency on maxima.
  2. wxmaxima-gtk, as above, but uses GTK+2 and X11 for display
  3. wxmaxima-mac-standalone, which uses Aqua, but doesn’t require Fink’s maxima to be installed.
  4. wxmaxima-gtk-standalone, as above, but uses GTK+2.

queueing-1.1.0 from Octave Forge

April 6, 2012

Again, sorry 3.0.5’ers.  You’ll have to stick with 1.0.0.

ga-0.10.0 from Octave Forge

April 6, 2012

Octave-3.4.3 and later only.  Sorry, 3.0.5’ers–you’re stuck with the prior 0.9.8 version.

xcircuit-3.7.39 and xcircuit-testing-3.8.17

April 4, 2012

I think I’m going to need to check more frequently…
